Missives, Musings & Literary Escapades!

Throughout my career I have written, researched, complied and authored many articles and pieces encompassing a diverse range of genres, subjects, topics and issues, including, but not limted to: Aboriginal Australians, adult and childrens’ fiction, directories/guides, epigrams (proverbs), ethnography (the study of people and cultures), genealogy (family history), guides, history, information technology, land tenure and registers, languages, local history, manuals, nomenclature (the study of names or terms), poetry, reference, theology (religion), and travel.

As a professional genealogist (from 1983) I was engaged as a regular feature writer by the Bundaberg Newspaper Co. writing a weekly ‘Family Branches’ genealogical column for the News-Mail from 15 May 1993 to 18 June 1994.

From April 1993 to December 1996 I was the editor and publisher of Genealogia, the official journal of the Polish Genealogical Society of Australia (PGSA).

In September 2018 I was asked by Warner Bros. International Television Production Australia to consult on the WDYTYA? Australian Television Series episode of Dr Karl Kruszelnicki which SBS Australia aired at 7.30pm on Tuesday 21 May 2019.

The lead researcher and field producer remarked: “it really helps with making sure we tell the right facts on our programme. You clearly know your stuff so it is great for us to have found you. Your help has been invaluable on this and I am very grateful.”
